Velvet Throne (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

No user accounts

You do not need to register, sign in, or create an account to browse the directory. We only collect personal information if you choose to contact us or submit one of our forms.

Information we collect

• Information you provide. When you submit a quote request or claim a listing, we collect details such as your name, email address, phone number, event location, event date, and any message you include.
• Usage data. We may collect standard analytics such as pages visited, referring site, browser type, and approximate region, to understand and improve the Site.

How we use your information

• To connect you with relevant restroom trailer providers.
• To respond to your inquiries and requests.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the Site.

We do not sell your personal information. We share quote details only with the provider(s) needed to respond to your request, and with service providers that help us operate the Site.

Hosting & infrastructure

The Site is hosted on Vercel, which collects standard server logs that may include IP address, browser type, and pages visited. Form submissions, where enabled, are stored using our database provider (Supabase / PostgreSQL), which may process data on servers located in Canada and/or the United States. We take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Cookies & analytics

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand general traffic patterns, such as page views and referring sources. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Click tracking

When you click through to a provider's website or contact a provider from our directory, we may record that action so we can understand which listings are most useful. Only the listing involved and a timestamp are recorded — no personally identifiable information is collected.

Business listing data

Information about businesses shown in the directory is compiled from publicly available sources such as company websites and public business listings. This is business information, not your personal data. If you are a business owner, see our Content Removal & Corrections page.

Third-party links

Our directory links out to third-party business websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external sites.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. To do so, email privacy@velvetthrone.ca.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
